Helping Kirsty get back on track with SDA Accident Insurance

Published on: Dec 03 2018

Kirsty works at Woolworths as an online shopper. She recently had to take several weeks off work when she fell getting her son out of the car and fractured her wrist while protecting her son still in her arms.

Kirsty remembered hearing about accident insurance in her member induction so called the SDA office to see if she would be eligible for any assistance.

As her accident occurred outside of work, she was covered and received $700 from the SDA accident insurance scheme.

Kirsty is still doing some physio but is recovering well and has returned to work.

All financial members of the SDA are covered by our free accident insurance, which covers members when they’re not at work and covered by workers’ compensation.
