FREE $35,000 ACCIDENT INSURANCE
The SDA automatically covers members free of charge world-wide for insurance cover against death or serious injury up to the value of $38,500.

The insurance covers all financial members of the union aged between 15 and 64 years who have worked in the industry within 30 days before the accident. There is also cover for members on long service leave, annual leave or sick leave, of up to 26 weeks.

The benefit is available for death, total incapacity, loss of limbs, sight or hearing that occurs outside working hours.
